I’m alive do or dive or it’s all over for me tonight You and me soft and free by the morning light we’ll see Flashing scenes on silver screens of beauty queens in skinny jeans she said… Woe is me Can’t you see? I’m alone always it seems she said… Fair thee well Hot as hell The look you gave done rung my bell Have a seat Whiskey neat Keep talking and sweep me off my feet Philistine Labyrinthine I can be so goddamn mean She said… Hold me Give me All of your lips, openly I’m the king of no remorse and I feel it’s getting worse she said… Come again? What’d you say? I get lost in the way you sway Brown bags Skin and bones Don’t throw stones in my glass homes she said… Free me Be me You really don’t have to tell me and I do believe you left me with my hands all tied in knots then swam away

Long ago I was born Far away I will die Of other certains, this is love Stick a needle in my eye Won’t someone come and rescue me? Too much talk of the economy Great forests they must sometimes burn And raindrops sometimes fall on me Pardon me, my love Can you just turn upside down? I need you more than light I was born to live to roam And whatever you’re ever wearing is my home Do you think these times are crushing us? All sharp corners veiled with foam And you look like New York when you smile And the truth depends, how heavy was his tongue? My subconscious lips are taut too young I wanna be with you for the rest of the while Pardon me, my love Can you just turn upside down, and face the other way? I need you more than light
3.
Bat your lips and purse your eyes it shouldn’t come as no surprise that I want in your gaze to reflect in you always Disappointing point of view point at me, I’ll point at you I’m aiming for your heart the perfect place to start Don’t you want to see it all? our summer sex and then our fall changing with the leaves no longer thick as thieves Time will tell what hell befell such a caring ne’er do well I just want you to know I don’t want you to go I was a back-talkin’, street-walkin’, latter-day fool You were lipstick leather jacket, lookin’ saturday cool I was just another cog in the wheel Mr. Misfortune, boy, how does it feel? Well, you know… Yes, I know… Share your chi with little ‘ol me then we’ll awake to find silence is our way of watching what we say It’s already half past two and I don’t wanna talk to you yeah, whatever, so? so many years ago I was a back-talkin’, street-walkin’, latter-day fool You were lipstick leather jacket, lookin’ saturday cool I was just another cog in the wheel Mr. Misfortune, boy, how does it feel? Well, you know… Yes, I know…

So now I let you know that time is on our side and there’s no space or place to hide Sarcastic Mr. Know-Nothing exposed as such I know you’re leaving me alone and it’s okay So now I let you know that I am on your trail so very close to no avail I do believe, I do believe that we were meant to be at least for now until you’re meant to leave Sod you all, sod you all, sod you all Can you dig it? Something sexual My so divine, peace of mind, Caroline Can you dig? So now she limps to me and let’s me in her heart of which I’ve been so far apart Sarcastic Mr. Know-Nothing exposed too much if you give me love…don’t give me love come on, girl don’t lie to me My so divine, peace of mind, Caroline Can you dig it? Something sexual My so divine, piece of mine, Caroline Can you dig?

about

Recorded at LA Rehearsal Studios from late '14 into early '15, "Pretty Dope EP" is the first release from Jim From The Moon since he picked up his guitar and moved to the cool breeze and palm trees of Hollywood, California.

Their first release is the explosive, "Beauty Queens in Skinny Jeans", which sees Jim and company tearing through time with astral guitars, and drums like machine guns. "Pretty Dope" showcases a band of rock and roll destineers, molding the spectrum of rock and roll as they see fit.

This time around, Jim is flanked by the soon-to-be world famous Pat Moley on guitar, who grooves through every tune with focused abandon, and Geoff Haba who puts the world in check with peerless drumming, which births this truth…there's a new band in town, ya heard? and you better shape up…it's Jim From The Moon.

about

Jim From The Moon Los Angeles, California

At times Jim from the Moon plays acoustic tunes about girls, the devil, and similar distractions. They flow in the vein of Loudon Wainwright III and Neil Young, sung with a voice soaked in years of Irish storytelling. Other times he expels far-out electric rock that is primal and space-ward, with heavy, psychedelic sounds. Both sides are focused, catchy, and ready to be eaten by your ears... ... more
